Fiber Art meets Clay

Fiber artist Sarah Butz and Clay artist Bonnie Bowman had their respective workshops collaborate in the making of a series of lamps which were on display at the Florida Craftsmen Gallery’s Architectural Details and Other Decorative Crafts exhibition. Students in Fiber Art created a series of lampshades using overdye and discharge methods. Clay students were challenged to create clay spheres that became lamp bases. Opening night was a success as we sold the lamp that was on exhibit!
