Artist (l to r): Cheryl Murphy, Joshua Steward, Natalie Hall, Dee Perconti and Rose Marie Prins (center)
Over the summer artists Rose Marie Prins, Cheryl Murphy, Natalie Hall and Joshua Steward conducted sculpture workshops in every St Petersburg recreation center teen camp in the city!
Each center had three days to take recyclable trash and create new possibilities for the unwanted items. Unwanted boxes, plastic containers, cans and general trash transformed into bright, imaginative sculptures! All of the centers came together with their finished artwork to the
Scrubbin Da Burg event. After the city-wide clean up, artworks were judged and prizes were awarded to the center with the best sculpture and the center with the best team cooperation.
