Folk Fest ‘09
2009 marks the third year of the outdoor street festival, Folk Fest. It’s also the third year that the Youth Arts Corps has exhibited and each year this event has gotten better! In addition to our artwork for sale, Mr. Nery’s percussion workshop performed during the opening ceremony and the girls from Quilts! (plus some teen Quilts! graduates) did a dance number to liven up the morning. This was certainly our most successful year in art sales at Folk Fest. We were please to have so many of our youth attend the Fest, everyone who stopped by the tent was so impressed with the amazing artwork created by our members!
